The Opioid Epidemic

Drug overdose related deaths have surpassed deaths from the AIDS epidemic, fatal car crashes and gun violence.

With that chilling knowledge, it’s no surprise that the opioid crisis was declared a National Public Health Emergency in 2017. Costs relating to opioid addiction are estimated at $78.5 billion a year.

The opioid crisis has impacted many nonprofits directly or indirectly through the communities they serve. Discover the tools and collective impact strategies NPOs and Communities are utilizing to fight back.
