What is The Millennial Summit?
The Millennial Summit is an annual summit that gathers millennials and young professionals to Wilmington, Delaware, to connect and collaborate with other visionaries and innovators who are making an impact in their communities. The Millennial Summit’s goal is to inspire young professionals to speak up and take a seat at the table so that they can start making a difference. In order to empower young professionals, the summit offers opportunities to learn about topics such as leadership, professional development, nonprofit and community service, personal wellness, entrepreneurship, finance and more.
About Kristen
Kristen Kuipers will be moderating a panel at the Millennial Summit titled “Recruiting & Retaining Talent & Making a Living in a Nonprofit Career.” Kristen is no stranger to the nonprofit world - she has over 20 years of experience in the corporate and nonprofit sector. She has led strategy for ARAMARK’s corporate social responsibility, served as Vice President of the Board for The Career Wardrobe, been Director of Development and Communications for Leadership Delaware, was past president of Next Gen North of the Delaware Community Foundation, and more!
Currently, Kristen is a board member for the Fund for Women where she also chairs the New Castle County Development Committee. At Tapp Network, Kristen serves as our Director of Strategic Partnerships. She is our cities and workforce expert, keeping her pulse on everything that's going on in Wilmington and the best outreach methods from policy level to the public.
