Gearing Up For April's Tapp Social!

It's that time of the month again! We at Tapp Network are very excited to present you with April's Installment of our Tapp Social Series: Public Relations & Tactics to Encourage Community Engagement. This Roundtable-style event will feature digital marketing expert Dan Sanchez, communications strategist Nina Zucker, and corporate communications expert Kent Wissinger who will discuss tricks of the trade in helping to encourage your community engagement!

While working with live-performance venues across the Mid-Atlantic region, Dan Sanchez found he had a knack for social media and identified a need in a then burgeoning field thus becoming an expert in digital marketing and communications.After directing the communications and social media of a winning campaign with Mayor Mike Purzycki, Dan now shares these crafts with the City of Wilmington as the City’s Digital & Social Media Manager.

Nina Zucker, Principal of Nina Zucker Associates leads a boutique consulting firm providing strategic positioning and branding, community relations and development, corporate social responsibility outreach and capacity building as well as social and traditional media relations and content creation for corporate and non-profit clients.

Kent Wissinger is a public relations leader with deep experience in strategic communications, crisis management, media relations, public affairs, and online communications. He’s managed many successful communication initiatives over two decades in the private sector, not-for-profit space, and federal and state government. He is currently corporate communications manager at Wilmington Trust.

These experts will touch on several important topics that can impact your organization’s PR plan including:

  • Choosing the right levers for the right audience

  • When and why holistic approaches work

  • The importance of not fatiguing a channel

  • Traditional vs Technological

  • Amplification of your message and THINKING BIG

  • Selling your story

  • Triumphs and Failures

The event will take place from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM in the Mill Space, located on the 4th floor of the Nemours Building. The Panel will be speaking from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM followed by networking from 5:00 - 6:00. As always, light food and beverages are provided.

Parking is available at the Community Services Parking Garage located on 11th and Orange St. Alternatively, parking can be purchased in advance here for the City Center Wilmington Garage located on 12th Street.
